How to Use
The dosage of MELONEX INJ varies based on the animal species and condition:
Bovines: 30ml/300kg body weight for mastitis, pneumonia, etc.; 15ml/375kg body weight for musculoskeletal disorders and other conditions.
Dogs & Cats: 0.2-0.5ml/10kg body weight.
Horses: 30ml/250kg body weight.
Swine: 2ml/25kg body weight.
Sheep & Goats: 2ml/33kg body weight.

While MELONEX INJ is generally safe, some animals might experience side effects such as vomiting, indigestion, stomach pain, diarrhea, and nausea. Side Effects:
Meloxicam is generally well tolerated in dogs but the most common side effect is GI distress. Examples include vomiting, soft stools, diarrhea, and inappetence. While rare, other animals may experience more severe side effects like intestinal bleeding, black and tarry stools, intestinal perforation or stomach or intestinal ulcers, or renal toxicity.
Precautions:
Meloxicam is an effective pain reliever when and requires a veterinary prescription. However, this medication should not be administered to a patient with a known allergy to it. It should also be avoided in animals suffering from dehydration, low blood pressure, a perforation of the stomach or intestinal lining or in animals with a history of bleeding disorders or ulcers. While meloxicam is approved for use in dogs, puppies under the age of six months have not been evaluated.
