Intrauterine infusion of penicillin can be used to treat uterine infections in cows.Â

Endometrial ablation
Trichloroacetic acid (TCA) can be injected into the uterine horn to create an animal model of endometrial ablation. TCA causes chemical burns to local tissue, which leads to a shrinking uterine cavity, diminished glands, and increased fibrotic tissue.Â
