"Under this programme subsidy is being provided to the small, marginal farmers and
Agricultural Labourers for crossbreed cow, Buffaloes, calf rearing, rearing of birds, pigs, sheep
and Goats. "
Under the Jharkhand Go Seva Ayog Act, 2005, the salary, allowances for the nominated Chairman, Secretary and Members and amount of money is provided for running the office of the Ayog. Also, welfare programmes for cows are conducted regularly in the State by providing grants to the executive bodies for cow welfare. The amount for the said work is provided from the grant-in-aid.
To ensure the establishment of well-equipped and modern goat farms, the Maharashtra government offers subsidies for the construction of infrastructure such as sheds, feeders, water troughs, and storage facilities. This financial aid significantly reduces the financial burden on farmers and encourages them to invest in goat farming.
Under this scheme 80 percent subsidy will be given for a unit of 18 thouands and 900 rupees 80 per cent subsidy including insurance cost for a unit is being provided to purchase two female (SoW) and one male (Boar) per beneficiary. The maximum total of a unit is kept 18 thousand 900 rupees, of which 18 thousand rupees is for purchasing cattle and 900 rupees is the cost of animal insurance. In this way a beneficiary will get a grant of 15 thousand 120 rupees at the rate of 80% for one unit (including). Rearing and management cost will be borne by the beneficiaaries themselves.
"In this programme 50% Financial Assistance will be provided to Goshalas for
infrastructure facilities, drinking water facilities and bore-well etc. Assistance also
provided for Fodder development, Organic manure production plots. Subsidy of
Rs. 5.50 per animal per day is provided for maintenance of the animal."
A Scheme named “Supporting Dairy Cooperatives and Farmer Producer Organizations engaged in dairy activities” was approved to provide working capital loan to State Cooperatives and Federations. An amount of Rs. 303 crore has been released to National Dairy Development Board till December 2021 for implementation of the scheme.
The State Government of Tamil Nadu has initiated a “Scheme for Distribution of Goat/Sheep/Milch Cow” for the poor beneficiaries in the rural areas in order to enhance their standard of living. Under this scheme, the Government of Tamil Nadu will distribute free goat, sheep and milch cow to the people belongs to backward areas in various districts of the State. In addition to veterinary services provided in Hospitals and Dispensaries, the department organizes infertility-cum-health management camps in different villages. Farmers can have the benefit of these camps and can get veterinary health care services for their livestock. The medicines are given free of cost in veterinary institutions as well as in infertility-cum-health management camps.
The scheme is meant for the economic up-liftment of beneficiaries belonging to Schedule Tribes to take up the subsidiary occupation by providing cross breed milch cow, milch Buffalo, Sheep and Piggery units. It is credit linked programme with a subsidy of 75% and 25% will be provided by Financial Institutions as loan.

Livestock owners of Cattle/Buffaloes giving 15 liters or more milk per day will be awarded a cash prize of ₹1000/- per Cow/Buffalo.The prize will be admissible to a maximum of two animals per farmer.Prizes will be transferred to the bank account of the selected owners.
Healthy animals are vaccinated against various infectious & non infectious diseases. The department is manufacturing/purchasing different type of vaccines. The vaccination facility for the following diseases is being provided free of cost to the farmers.
The focus of the scheme is on entrepreneurship development and breed improvement in poultry, sheep, goat and piggery including feed and fodder development.The sub-mission proposes to bring sharp focus on entrepreneurship development and breed improvement in poultry, sheep, goat and piggery by providing the incentivization to the individual, FPOs, SHGs, Section 8 companies for entrepreneurship development and also to the State Government for breed improvement infrastructure.
