Gut Health is influenced by three interdependent components
Gut Microbiota
Nutrition
GALT (Immune cells associated with the digestive system)

Spectra-DFMGTH is a specialized formulation of selected organisms to ensure gut health in poultry. Spectra-DFMGTH establishes and favours a healthy gut microecology with beneficial organisms.

Significance of Gut microflora balance
Probiotics in poultry feed improves efficiency of feed utilization as they positively influence gut microbes and augment gut health. The Direct Fed Microbials for poultry or more commonly called as Poultry Probiotics are an effective means to establish beneficial gut microbiota in birds.

The digestive tract of bird hosts more than 600 species of microorganisms. The total number of microflora present in the gut is higher than the number of cells which constitute the body of the host. A stable and positive balance of beneficial microbial community in the gut on one hand helps to avoid gut pathogens and on the other favours the digestive and immune functions of the gastrointestinal tract.

Establishment of Gut Microbiota
The development of gut microbiota begins on hatching where bacteria are picked up from the environment and feed to which the chicks are exposed post-hatch. Therefore addition of Spectra-DFM GTH favours and reduces the time taken for the establishment of the stable beneficial microbiota Spectra-DFMGTH populates the gut with beneficial microorganisms and leaves less chance for pathogens to establish their colonies. Spectra-DFMGTH exerts beneficial effects on gut environment, health, immunity and performance of poultry.
